Food Lifeline is seeking a strategic and collaborative Vice President of Finance to lead our Finance and Accounting function in support of our mission to end hunger in Western Washington.
As a member of the Executive Team, the Vice President of Finance plays a critical role in ensuring the organization’s financial integrity, sustainability, and compliance. This leader will provide both high-level strategic guidance and hands-on oversight of accounting operations, audit readiness, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance in a complex, publicly funded nonprofit environment.
This is a pivotal leadership role for an organization operating at scale. We are looking for a thoughtful and data-driven leader who can translate financial insight into action—supporting strong decision-making, responsible growth, and long-term sustainability. The Vice President will ensure that Food Lifeline maintains strong internal controls, produces accurate and timely financial information, and meets all federal, state, and grant-related requirements.
The Vice President of Finance will:
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CAO, and Executive Team, contributing to organizational strategy and long-term planning
Provide clear, data-driven financial insights to guide priorities, tradeoffs, and resource allocation
Lead and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team with a focus on accountability, growth, and collaboration
Ensure strong cross-functional partnership to support programmatic, operational, and funding needs
Oversee all aspects of accounting, audit, and compliance to ensure accuracy, transparency, and readiness
The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic leadership and operational expertise, with experience managing complex nonprofit finance functions. They are a collaborative partner, a strong communicator, and a leader who values integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Compensation & Benefits · Salary Range: $$180,000. To $190,000 annually
