What We’re Looking For

 

Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Senior Vice President of Provider Contracts and Negotiations to join our Network team! This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all contractual development, negotiations, and management of contracts for Trillium Health Resources. The Senior Vice President will lead a team of contract professionals while managing complex, high-value agreements that directly impact organizational operations and financial performance.

 

This role demands extensive experience with North Carolina Medicaid systems, including Tailored Plans, Medicaid Direct and behavioral health/IDD service, and physical health delivery models. The Senior Vice President must be a proven leader capable of building, mentoring, and directing a high-performing contracts team while excelling in high-pressure environments with aggressive timelines. This position requires strategic thinking, exceptional negotiation skills, meticulous attention to contract details, and a deep understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

 

On a typical day, you might:

 

  • Establish the strategic direction of the Contract and Negotiation unit, ensuring alignment with Trillium’s priorities and requirements of outside agencies.
  • Develop and execute large-scale contract management projects.
  • Oversee contract renewal processes and renegotiation strategies. 
  • Work with multiple internal departments to negotiate provider rates, manage contract disputes and resolutions, and ensure all contracts comply with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Lead complex negotiations for high-value contracts, including payer agreements and strategic alliances.

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Health Administration, Policy, Management, Business, Human Resources, Law, Contracting, or Human Services field and three (3) years of experience directly with Medicaid specifically in regard to leading, managing, or directing contract negotiation, contract management/administration, government contracting, healthcare contracting, mergers/acquisitions, contracts project management, negotiation strategies, contract drafting, or contract maintenance and resolution large healthcare systems, facilities, single case agreements, vendor and ancillary contracts. Must include two (2) years of supervisory experience managing two (2) or more employees and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement structures.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must reside within United States. 

 

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Health Administration, Healthcare Management, Business, or Juris Doctor degree.
  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent certifications.
  • Fully licensed by the State of North Carolina as an LCSW, LCMHC, LCMHCS, LPA or LMFT.
