Overview

CoralTree Hospitality is seeking a dynamic leader to support the revenue function as a Director of Revenue Strategy at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing revenue and pricing strategies at Seaport Hotel to maximize revenue and profitability. This on-property position is responsible for leading the hotel’s revenue strategy, participating in weekly commercial meetings, contributing thought leadership, and working closely with the on-site Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams to execute successful yield strategies. Responsibilities

Revenue Strategy and Property Performance

  • Partner with the property team in the development and execution of a strategic, demand-based pricing philosophy for all room categories
  • Lead the development and execution of a strategic, demand-based pricing philosophy for all room categories.
  • Understand the competitive market and defined comp set, and how it relates to the hotel’s market segments, location, price point, and positioning.
  • Ensure that effective strategies are developed and executed consistently to maximize performance.
  • Drive the proper execution of revenue strategies and adjust tactics based on market trends and performance.
  • Optimize use of revenue support systems such as IDeaS, Datavision, Amadeus, Lighthouse, etc.
  • Lead and actively participate in weekly revenue strategy meetings.
  • Foster cohesive and collaborative efforts across all local commercial disciplines to drive optimal results.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to identify revenue growth opportunities.
  • Use data analytics and forecasting tools to inform pricing decisions.
  • Formulate and adjust pricing strategies in alignment with hotel goals, seasonal demand, and dynamic market conditions.
  • Conduct regular pricing reviews to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Commercial leadership to identify risks or opportunities that could impact revenue generation.
  • Additional responsibilities may include: fair share forecasting, budgeting and forecasting tools, and internal documentation on platforms like Microsoft Teams.

Leadership and Development

  • Coach, develop, and support team members involved in the revenue strategy process.
  • Provide feedback and guidance for implementation of related procedures, program initiatives that support revenue generation to meet and exceed defined revenue goals.
  • Work closely with the Home Office Commercial team to identify and communicate potential opportunities that may adversely affect revenue generation.
  • Cultivate strong and transparent relationships with current and prospective ownership groups.
  • Provide regular updates on revenue performance, market trends, and strategies.

Technology

  • Be the expert in how all the business intelligence and revenue related systems work together including connectivity and data flow.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in revenue management.
  • Evaluate and implement revenue management systems and tools for enhanced efficiency.
  • Train and educate team members on new technologies and best practices.

Other Responsibilities

  • Industry Participation
  • Industry representation of CoralTree Hospitality in national or international groups like HSMAI, AH&LA, etc.
  • Become a known industry expert and resource.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of revenue management related experience in the hotel industry.
  • Strong in systems and technology.
  • Experienced in managing and leading people.
  • Thrives in a highly dynamic and faced paced environment.
  • Can multi-task and prioritize multiple projects.

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000/yr. + bonus

Location: This is a hybrid role that will be based in Boston, MA.
