What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an energetic, forward thinking, resourceful candidate. The Creative Director is responsible for leading the strategic vision, development, and execution of all visual, digital, and multimedia initiatives to support brand growth, marketing performance, and business objectives. This role oversees the full creative lifecycle from concept development and design to production, social media management, and final delivery ensuring brand consistency, technical accuracy, and high-quality output across all platforms. The Creative Director partners cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and executive leadership to translate business goals into compelling visual storytelling, manages company branding and digital presence.

The Creative Director position works out of our San Diego Corporate Office five days a week. The candidate must be local to San Diego. This is a Full-Time Position | Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000

Key Responsibilities:

Conceptualization & Design

  • Translate concepts into visuals: Work with clients or internal teams to understand project requirements, marketing goals, and target audiences.
  • Develop creative concepts: Create visual concepts, layouts, and designs for a variety of media, including websites, social media, advertisements, brochures, logos, packaging, and more.
  • Master design elements: Select and manipulate typography, color palettes, imagery, and visual hierarchy to create aesthetically pleasing and effective designs.
  • Produce drafts and mockups: Prepare rough drafts, sketches, or digital mockups to present design ideas to stakeholders for review. Developing and finalizing all art concepts as approved. This includes photoshopping images to meet company standards.
  • Company Branding & Presentations: Prepare, maintain and execute, company presentation, newsletters, capabilities book, new business pitches, shared folders, and all collateral requested by CONAM.
  • Corporate Website: Support the CONAM corporate website with design, updates, and maintenance.
  • Social Media Campaigns: Support the creation, delivery, and execution of all social media campaigns. This includes boosting posts, creating recruiting posts, and managing all CONAM internal social media pages such as LinkedIn, Meta and YouTube.
  • Approve final designs, layouts, and illustrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and sales, to ensure creative work aligns with business goals.
  • Present design concepts and final work to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Utilize design software: Expertly use industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools like Figma or Sketch.
  • Manage the design process: Oversee the entire design lifecycle from initial concept to final production, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain brand consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to established brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive visual identity across all platforms.
  • Prepare files for production: Format and prepare final files for various outputs, whether it's for digital use (web, email, social media) or print (CMYK, bleed, resolution).

      Production & Filming

      • Execute all aspects of video production, including scouting locations, setting up lighting and audio, and operating cameras and other equipment.
      • Direct on-camera talent and manage production schedules to ensure shoots run efficiently.
      • Capture high-quality footage that meets professional standards for visual and audio clarity.
      • Edit raw footage to create polished, compelling final videos. This includes trimming clips, adding transitions, and integrating graphics, text overlays, and sound effects.
      • Color grade and mix audio to ensure a professional look and sound.
      • Manage and organize all video assets and project files for easy access and collaboration.
      • Art direct photoshoots, video productions, company events, award ceremonies, and other visual content creation.

      Content Creation & Social Media Management

      • Content Creation: Produce high-quality, platform-specific content (short-form video, graphics, and copy) for all TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X accounts.
      • Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar that aligns with product launches, brand milestones, and industry trends.
      • Support customer engagement while fostering a genuine community.
      • Use platform analytics to figure out what’s working and what isn’t. You’ll provide monthly reports on growth, engagement, and ROI.
      • Keep your pulse on the ever-changing algorithm. You’ll pivot our strategy when needed to ensure we stay relevant and visible.

      Collaboration & Communication

      • Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, clients, and other internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver on creative briefs.
      • Present concepts and final edits to stakeholders, incorporating feedback as needed.
      • Manage project timelines to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet all specified deadlines.
      • Receive and incorporate feedback: Work with clients, executives, marketing managers, operational teams, and other team members to receive constructive feedback and make necessary revisions.
      • Clearly articulate and present design concepts to stakeholders, explaining the rationale behind creative choices.
      • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with executive, marketing, and operations teams to ensure designs align with strategic objectives.
      • Stay up to date: Keep current with the latest design trends, software updates, and industry best practices to continuously improve skills and deliver innovative work.

      Quality Assurance

      • Proofread and review: Carefully review all designs for errors, typos, and inconsistencies before final production or publication. This position requires exceptional written skills to ensure proper grammar, spelling, and sentence structure is used when designing concepts. This position requires exceptional communication skills for the purpose of presenting and designing concepts for the company and the clients we serve.
      • Ensure technical accuracy: Test designs across different media and platforms to ensure they display and function as intended.
      • Organize assets: Maintain and organize a library of digital assets, including fonts, images, and brand files, for efficient use.
      • Ensure all visual output meets the highest standards of quality, aesthetics, and brand integrity.
      • Review and approve all designs, mockups, and finished products before they are released.

      Team Management & Mentorship

      • Oversee the creative team, graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, and production artists.
      • Provide clear creative direction, constructive feedback, and mentorship to help team members grow and develop their skills.
      • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure all deliverables are met on schedule.
      • Foster a collaborative and inspiring work environment that encourages innovation and creative risk-taking.

      All other duties as assigned.

      Who You Are: (Requirements of the Position)

      • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Film and Video Production, Multimedia Arts, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
      • Five (5) years of experience in a creative role, with at least 3 years in an Art Director or similar leadership position.
      • Proven experience leading and managing a creative team.
      • A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects and a mastery of design principles.
      • A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of video projects and a mastery of video creation and editing principles.
      • Experience in Real Estate or Mult housing is a plus but not required.
      • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
      • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
      • Strong understanding of video creation concepts and video editing processes.
      • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to think creatively and strategically, translating complex ideas into simple, beautiful designs and video content.
      • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
      • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles, motion graphics, or video production is a plus.
      • Experience Film Production and Editing is a requirement of this position.
      • Highly developed analytical skills to support shifting data.
      • Well-developed problem solving and organizational skills.
      • Must have strong time management skills.
      • Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
      • Professional and strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
      • Valid  Drivers License and Auto Insurance
      • Ability to travel up to 30%
