Who will you be working with?
The Vice President, Field Services and Maintenance Management will be responsible for contract management and service operations for the Canadian National (CN) customer.
How will you make a difference?
This role will lead all business operational aspects including developing & executing service strategy, implement change to meet customer commitments and drive growth, create programs responsive to external and customer environment, and participate in x-functional business initiatives such as Integrated Services, productivity milestones and LT service agreements.
What will your typical day look like?
As the Vice-President of Services, you will:
• Be responsible for the financial performance and overall growth of all parts, repair, and field service activities for the CN account
• Establish and lead the services growth strategy for Service accounts
• Participate in identifying and promoting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs to address market needs
• Work closely with the commercial team to ensure appropriate sales coverage and opportunities to achieve the services orders plan
• Be responsible for the overall management duties for assigned Service Managers and Technical/Material team for the CN account
• Provide effective leadership for assigned personnel regarding salary planning, performance appraisals, career coaching and development, and disciplinary action, as required
• Lead efforts to ensure Customer Service excellence and implement Operation Safety Policy instructions and conduct fieldwork in compliance with all applicable regulations and employee safety practices
• Ensure operational excellence in the areas of integrity, controllership, and compliance
• Leverage Productivity tools to drive Purchased Labor and Material, Variable Cost, and Base
• Assist and provide inputs for short and long-term business planning (i.e. Op Plan, STRAP)
• Work closely across the Services leadership team to investigate, analyze and resolve customer issues in a timely manner
• Lead reliability and material improvement strategy development and operational execution
What do we want to know about you?
• Solid Experience in rail industry (must have)
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in field services including working with all aspects related to customer and contract management
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leadership roles including building and leading complex and large professional teams
• Minimum of 3 years’ of direct management experience leading customer success functions

The salary rate for this role is currently $199100-283600 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
