Overview
Jefferies’ Outsourced Trading group provides comprehensive, conflict‑free global trading solutions designed to extend and enhance asset managers’ investment and execution capabilities. The U.S. Outsourced Trading business leadership team is comprised of long‑tenured equity trading professionals and senior leaders at Jefferies.
As a Senior Vice President on this desk, you will operate in a buy‑side–style environment, providing high‑touch, multi‑asset execution and market insight to a diverse set of institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution across U.S. equities and listed options, including single‑stock, program trades, delta‑one, and volatility‑driven strategies.
- Serve as an outsourced trading partner to institutional clients, providing conflict‑free, buy‑side–aligned execution support aligned with their investment processes.
- Access and navigate a broad liquidity network, leveraging Jefferies’ global relationships with 150+ brokers and venues to optimize execution quality.
- Deliver daily market color, trade‑idea generation, and portfolio‑specific insights tailored to client needs.
- Manage the full trade lifecycle, including routing, execution, allocation, and post‑trade TCA review.
- Partner with Portfolio Managers and Analysts to understand investment mandates and match trading strategies appropriately.
- Maintain strict information‑barrier compliance, operating within Jefferies’ walled‑off outsourced trading structure.
- Coordinate closely with Jefferies’ Prime Brokerage, Financing, and Capital Introduction teams when applicable.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of trading experience, with deep expertise in U.S. equities and listed options markets.
- Strong understanding of market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, and execution algorithms.
- Prior experience in a buy‑side, sell‑side, or outsourced trading environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly in fast‑moving markets and deliver client‑tailored market intelligence.
- High level of integrity with a commitment to conflict‑free, client‑first trading.
- Proven ability to work autonomously in a high‑touch, multi‑client environment.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience supporting hedge funds, long‑only asset managers, or OCIOs.
- Familiarity with transaction‑cost analysis (TCA) tools.
- Comfort handling complex or sensitive orders requiring discretion.
New York, NY Full Time Salary Range of $250,000-300,000.
