About the Role

The Revenue Cycle Analyst Intern will be responsible for performing duties that support the analysis of revenue cycle data. Revenue Cycle is responsible for professional billing, vendor management, coding, quality assurance, payer contracting, and provider enrollment, among other activities. This includes, but is not limited to; charge capture, claims submission, accounts receivables, write-offs, denials management, patient financial services, medical records and payer analysis (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and Private Pay).

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Digging into data, working cross functionally to develop fully informed views and insights into the drivers behind the data, and presenting findings clearly and concisely
  • Accurately gathering, synthesizing, analyzing, and communicating data
  • Performing financial analysis of revenue cycle processes and reports
  • Analyzing FFS (fee for service) collection trending
  • Supporting existing capabilities related to the standardization and process improvement initiatives within the Revenue Cycle
  • Providing analytical support
  • Preparing narratives, PowerPoint presentations, graphs and reporting for field operations, clients, and finance and revenue cycle
  • Developing and preparing ad-hoc reports related to the revenue cycle
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • A 2nd or 3rdyear or graduating student currently enrolled in an accredited college program and pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Ability to prioritize workload and function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong quantitative skills preferred with proficiency in Excel and Power Point
  • Natural intellectual curiosity with strong research skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with regard to protected health information, understanding and adhering to Sound Physicians HIPAA Privacy and Security Policies and Procedures
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with regard to company legal and financial information

 

Pay Range

  • $17.00-$20.00 hourly. Exact pay will be determined based on candidate experience, geographical location, and size/complexity of the program being supported.
