As a Business Development Director at Kroll Agency and Trustee Services, you will be a key contributor in growing the business and a key member of the Business Development team. Your primary remit will be to focus on boosting growth and sales revenue of the company through the provision of independent loan agency mandates, escrow and deposit growth opportunities, paying agent appointments, and other related agency mandates.
The successful candidate will play a key part within a strong performing sales team by originating and securing new business mandates across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions and creating and developing new and existing client relationships.
Your sales focus and expertise will be instrumental in driving successful delivery in alignment with Kroll's vision and growth objectives, applying best practice and ensuring strong client service from inception.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will report into the Head US of Business Development, and will ensure accurate and on-time delivery of all key task items including (but not limited to) the following:
Assist in the development of business leads and introductions to maximise revenue growth
Ensure accurate and up-to-date MI is consistently kept using Salesforce and internal reporting systems – strong level of focus on ensuring inputting of high-quality data on behalf of the Business Development team
Compile reports for weekly/ monthly meetings with respective internal teams and highlighting key sales metrics
Assist in the creation and maintenance of calling plans
Research and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and target existing and new client needs to increase KATS’ market share and develop strategic business plans
Assist in creating brand recognition and awareness by working closely with internal marketing and delivery partners to market the full range of KATS’ products and services and create effective strategies for client acquisition and retention
Engage with current and prospective clients/ influencers and referrals of business including lawyers, sponsors, debt advisors and lenders in conjunction with the Business Development team, understanding their needs and proposing tailored solutions
Attend external conferences and events for market knowledge and networking opportunities ensuring a write up of key points is undertaken and distributed amongst the team
Attend/accompany Business Development colleagues to meeting opportunities with a goal to attending meeting opportunities individually in the near future
Drafting and preparing fee proposals on new opportunities, liaising with other Business Development colleagues to ensure consistency in pricing
Frequent monitoring of outstanding fee proposals issued ensuring periodic follow ups occur
Assist in the improvement of the client experience by following a won mandate from inception to close
Stakeholder Management – build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
Continuously strive to enhance product knowledge, industry expertise, and sales techniques to drive business growth.

ESSENTIAL TRAITS
10+ years of pertinent loan agency experience with ability to leverage institutional contacts
Strong subject matter expertise and understanding of the loan agency business
Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities and create effective business strategies.
Ability to demonstrate LSTA documentation best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills to engage and influence potential clients.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to work under a pressurised and fast paced environment.
Self-motivation and effective time management
Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) and decision-makers
Proficiency in Salesforce software and Microsoft Office package
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
