AACOM is seeking a full-time, experienced Director of Governance and Member Services (DGMS) who will play a pivotal role in strengthening member engagement and advancing governance across the association. This is a newly created role which will bring, dedicated, full-time focus to two critical areas: governance and member services.
The Director will serve as a key leader supporting AACOM’s transition to a more modern, sustainable governance model that underpins the association’s work and reflects the organization’s growth and increasing complexity. Similarly, member services are at the core of AACOM’s mission. In this role, the Director will lead ongoing, cross-divisional efforts to assess and enhance member value, return on investment, and the strategic alignment of programs and services.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director will serve as the organization’s internal expert on member programs and services and a key relationship manager for institutional leaders. This role will build and strengthen relationships across AACOM’s membership, model a high standard of customer service excellence, and act as a liaison for member feedback—identifying opportunities for improvement, anticipating emerging needs, and helping ensure AACOM remains responsive and forward-looking.

This is a full-time exempt position with a remote work arrangement, with a preference for candidates located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Frequent domestic travel is required.
The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $135,000 annually.
This position is part of the Member Services department and reports to the Chief Operating Officer. While the role does not currently include direct supervisory responsibilities, it plays a key role in AACOM’s strategic operations and cross-functional collaboration.
