About the Role

Kitsap Credit Union is in search of a Director of Digital Strategic Planning. As the Digital Strategic Planning Director, you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing our digital vision. Your role involves strategic thinking, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of digital trends and technologies. You will partner with the Chief Digital Officer in the development and execution of comprehensive digital strategies, aligning them with our overall business goals, and driving innovation across the organization.

Employment Type: Exempt, Salaried, Full-time, Hybrid

Salary Range: $135,000 - $172,000   depending on experience

Bonus Target: 15% potential incentive of base pay

Working hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Grade: 15BC

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Digital Strategy Development: Work with the Chief Digital Officer in the creation of a robust and forward-looking digital strategy that aligns with the organization's broader business objectives. 
  2. Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders across KCU to define digital goals and outcomes. Develop and deliver actionable strategic plans to achieve and measure these goals and outcomes.
  3. Member/Colleague Experience: Take a member/colleague experience perspective in the development and delivery of digital solutions and capability – with a strong focus on driving improvement in both internal employee satisfaction and external satisfaction – in both direct and indirect channels (e.g. Net Promoter Score). 
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various departments, including marketing, technology, operations, risk and finance, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of digital initiatives. 
  5. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis of digital trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to inform and refine the organization's digital strategy. 
  6. Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of digital initiatives. Implement a robust system for tracking and reporting on the performance of digital projects. 
  7. Implementation Oversight: Work with cross-functional team members to ensure the successful implementation of key initiatives within the digital strategy. 
  8. Budget Oversight: Collaborate with finance and relevant departments (e.g. Strategic Program Office, IT) to develop and manage budgets for digital initiatives. Ensure efficient allocation of resources to achieve strategic goals. 
  9. Team Leadership: Build a culture for a cross-functional, high-performing digital team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support for the professional development opportunities for team members. 

 

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, with a focus on digital strategy and innovation. 
  • In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, market trends, and industry best practices. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex digital strategies to a diverse set of stakeholders. 
  • Proven experience in vendor management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates a high level of engagement and active collaboration contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Understand, model, and represent KCU’s core values.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Education

Prior experience with strategic planning, in a financial services environment, preferred. 

Prior experience bringing digital financial products to market, preferred.

 

SUPERVISORY STATUS 

This position supervises others and is responsible for being results oriented, collaborative, delegate effectively, and embrace the organization’s core values, ensuring team effectiveness.

 

Working conditions 

This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs
  • Constantly positions self in work environment
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors, and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions
  • Must be able to detect objects at a distance
  • On occasion will move up to 20 pounds of office objects
  • Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in buildings that require travel in outdoor weather conditions
